THERMAC and heat riser
« on: June 14, 2020, 01:21:26 PM »
1984 K10 Silverado

Hey everyone, I am wanting to return my truck to stock type thermac including the heat stove and exhaust heat riser. I am having a hard time finding these items online. I could probably fabricate the heat stove relatively easy but when it comes to the heat riser I am sort of lost. It gets pretty cold here in Ohio and I’d like to have cold weather drivability. Any leads would be appreciated!

does your air cleaner have the thermac valve and sensor?

You can fab up a sheet metal collector on the exhaust and steel tube it up to the air cleaner.

Hello!

I have a 1976 Chevy K10 that was in need of a new heat riser and gasket which I ordered from Summit Racing. I called them and they were very helpful.

As for the heat stove I would do a junk yard search on line. I have gotten several parts that way.

By the way my quadrajet works great, even in the winter!

Good Luck!
