Mostly to clean lines and carb. May possibly need a carb rebuild but wanted to try additive first.

Buy fuel that is Ethanol free. The ethanol is what rust out the fuel system and cause most of the problems with the squares.

A few states such as South Carolina offer an option at the pump for ethanol free fuel or ethanol.  I live in connecticut and you can't find ethanol free fuel anywhere.  Unless you find a pump with race fuel. The only one I know of near me is the citgo station on rt 2 preston norwich border.

Do you drive the truck frequently? If not once you straighten your carb out you can put stabil 360 fuel stabilizer in whenever you gas up. Stuff works good and for a long time.

Vermont has ethanol free fuel at the pump. For an additive, Lucas makes a good product.

Some gas stations carry ethanol free gas, not all. You have to check around for those that do.
