Wow, those were the days.  Turns out Chester the Molester was a strip in Hustler.  I don't think I have seen one of those since college days...

So I got lucky re-positioning the steering wheel.  It is now dead on center on everything is aligned perfectly on the turn signal return cam.  I was afraid I would need to pull the adapter and move it a notch or two.  It is difficult to tell when the wheel is absolutely straight in the driveway. I really needed to drive it first.  Thanks again for your help.  Next is getting the frame reinforcement kit at the steering box installed before there is any more damage.  It has been repaired but not reinforced.....Likely will fail again.
