is there a way to make the four barrel where it cant open... and would it hurt anything?

Mike, Yes you can. What brand of carb are you using? What CFM is it? Are you wanting to do this for gas mileage purposes? I'm guessing. What size engine are you working with? I'm just not sure it's the best/necessary. The problem you will face is that as engine speed increases so does the demand for fuel. To have the primaries only to keep up with the demand, larger jets,smaller rods,ect. need to be in place. Now at lower speeds, you have the wrong amount of fuel for the air, understand? This is why a 2 barrel carb usually gets worse gas mileage than a 4 barrel driven carefully. Lorne
