on an 87 350? I think its something like 180hp and 260 torque at like something pretty low, I'll have to double check but I think the torque came in at like 2600 and the peak hp at like 4000 or something...I'll double check to make sure but I know I'm in the ballpark

i almost got excited there for a second LOL  2600 plds of torque haha. well thanks for the info and i dont appreciate you calling my 350 a little engine as far as stats.:hat     :\    200 horsepower is enough.....it'll have more once i get the new exhaust and throttle body on it.

who called a 350 a small motor in terms of power? I didn't, and the 2600 was 2600rpm not torque...250tq at 2600rpm or so, but whatever man, at least you found your information.

Yeah, chill.  your exhaust will gain 18-25 percent for you and the throttle body will do wonders.  TBI engines just are a little harder to make horsepower with.  It ought to be pretty good once you are done, but just get ready for every compliment and piece of criticizm you can think of.  I hope it runs really well when it is done.  Hey, out of the factory mine was a 200 ft/lb, 145 horse P.O.S., now that I am done with it it ought to be close to 425 ft lb, 375-400 horse 4x4 demon.

Aw naw i wasn't offended, i was sorta kidding. Yeah thanks for the info guys. ya i reckon the computer is going to limit what i can do to that engine. i'm sure as heck going to do everything that is possible to get that 3 speed manual flyin. >D

The exhaust thats goin on it is 2.5" dual pipes into 2 cut-outs , then to two 40 series delta flow Flowmasters, then out the side before the rear wheels. Can't Wait.

Any suggestions from anyone on what exactly my engine will be limited to improving on?(because of the tbi and the computer) Just so i know what all im gona be able to do.(and to get my bank account ready:rollin )

Anything you can do to a 88-93 TBI motor you can do to an 87.  The 87 and the 88 are identical setups.

The computer will limit you cam selection, and the TBI will limit you cam selection.  There are ways around that.  Some have used the 454SS throttle body and manipulated the ECM.
