Steering Column Differences?
« on: March 02, 2003, 10:09:00 PM »
I Want to switch to to a tilt steering column in my truck but not sure what all in need.  Do I need the entire column including shaft and all or just the housing up.  Also I noticed that there are two different ones in some catalogs one for
73-78 and one for 79-87.  anyone know the diff?  and which would I go by considering I have a 74 frame and a 82 body?
thanks
c

Go with the year your cab is. The diference is that the wipers are in the directional switch handle on the newer trucks.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Does a tilt column give you more room between you (stomach) and the steering wheel.  i feel so close when i drive.. Do they make different offsets in steering wheels !!!

Good luck with the column...
