yea but it looks so much cleaner when you swap in a factory A/C unit.  it's hard but the cleanliness/factory look pays off in the end...

I prefer no A/C.  Very nice color.  I will probably repaint mine one day.  I was thinking about a yellow, black, or orange.  Maybe a combo?  I really like it though.  I can't believe you have another one.  So, how many do you have now?

If your going to use the axle in the pic it appears to be a dana 44 not a dana 60

The dana 60 has king pins instead of ball joints. Also on right side  passenger side where the leafs mount they mount with bolts on the inside and the out side mounts with a u bolt

i was about to say the same thing

Swapped in the 3/4 front b/c the other axle was in rough shape inside. My buddy had a matching 4.10 for free so we popped it in it's place.

I put this whole project on pause for a bit while my interest lies in my 74 but after the Holidays I should have some progress.

Can you get the dana 60 back? You know those sell for $2500 used in my area and thats if you can find one. Seriousely man I would build it with the 60 if I was you. Way better axle.
About air, I actually took the A/C off my truck. I dont like the clutter uder the hood. Course im in Alberta so A/C isnt something I really have much use for.
About the color.
Lime green seems to radical to me.
How is your build coming along?
So did the 208s come factory in 3/4 ton trucks? My truck was originally half on and im still running the original 208 in it. That 208 is the only thing that was still good on my truck!

It was trashed and not worth fixing. This trucks gonna be driven on the street so I really don't give a crap about 1 ton axles. I bought the paint and didn't like it so I decided to shade it darker. Before you know it this thing will be lookin like a truck again. I'll post pix soon

Update:

I did a little bartering with 86 chevy silverado on here and I got a 350 4 bolt block from him since the one I had all the mains were cracked and the other one snapped the crankshaft. I sent it out to the machine shop for hot tank and bore and started building the engine. The heads are Vortec heads all ready to go and I should have the bottom end complete by Friday. I'll be posting some pix real soon.

Got some pix but have to upload them. I'm calling it a mutt because the frame is an 86, the cab is an 86, the radiator support/grille is a 91, the doors are 91, the fenders are 89, the bed is a 74 so it's a mutt made up of mostly left over resources from other project builds. I'll see if I can post a few pix.

That's my shop at work. I just taught engines and automatic transmissions this semester so I built the trans and am almost done with the engine.
