The plastic wire sheet behind the guages that has power running through it. Will a newer one 82-87 replace the older one in my 76?
I dont have any guages that require the old full sheet anymore and it atually caught on fire, so I was thing about replacing the sheet that goes behing the guage pod with a smaller newer style dumbie guage type instead of a full guage style.
Will it work, are the connectins the same??

76 Chevy Pu Custom Deluxe C10, light green.Came home from the hosptial in it.O.E 160HP 350, Muncie HD 3 speed on the tree 3.73 rear end C.A special, emmissions equiptment Unleaded gas version.Now med firemist blue and sports a 355 86 M block from a school bus, 440HP 460TQ crank HP&TQ.58cc heads, 1.94in., flat top pistons Manley aluminum 5.7 rods, comp 270H cam, weiand xcellerator med rise intake holley 4160 carb accel blue print distributor & extrenal coil, flowtech headders, dual 2.5 exhuast 32in glasspacks 12in chrome tips, TL posi. Chrome tube grill, 82 suburban wrap bumper.Yep its very fast, runs 12.1's @ 118 @4800ft above sea level and still a 3 on the tree. Alot more unlisted mods. truck was totally restored in 99 but I'm anal about things like dents from shopping carts aholes doors so it going to be re restored in the next few years.
