Finally got an adapter to get the pictures off my camera, here's a few of the truck when I was scraping the old tint off (the worst!)

And the 1961 Buick LeSabre that my great grandfather gave to me, I've been working getting it running

One thing I forgot to post is the engine plates I received from Tejas SteelWorks. It's a small shop in Texas that makes these mounts and a few other Square body LS swap items. These mounts will move the engine up and forward enough for me to retain the 5.3's A/C condenser which Dirty Dingo mounts dont allow you to do

You will be very happy with these mounts. The owner of Tejas Steelworks is a friend of mine. Always puts out the best work, and the Tejas Steelworks shops truck is a dime.

He has been a wealth of information on the swap so far! Scotty is super nice! I'm in his Facebook group for LS swapped Square bodies, lots of info. I look forward to using the mounts

I see on his website it says they are for c10s do you know if they would work for a 4x4? I would kind of like the keep the stock compressor if i can...

Yes they'll work for 4x4, you just have to mount the tcase and transmission first and then move the engine crossmember forward based on where the engine mounts need to go. He said it should be about 1.5" or so. Just drill new holes and bolt it up

I'm sorry I see that your putting it in a 4x4 now don't know how I missed that... well that's cool I think I'm gonna give that bracket a try it will have a 4inch lift so probably gonna have to get driveshafts made anyways...

You don't have to get driveshafts made until you're higher than 6-8" generally

The transfer case and tranny sit in their correct original spots, which is what would control whether you needed new driveshafts or not. But the mounts on the engine are going to sit 1.5" forward from the SBC mounts on the frame, so you have to move the engine crossmember forward so the mounts line up again

Well she's parked for the winter guys! This is my buddies garage, that's his 350 on the right that's going in his square next to my 5.3. His truck will be parked in here too soon.

This is the last drive I took in it, playing with my camera :)

Forgot to get a picture but I traded a buddy my semi float rear for a full floater, pretty excited! It is rusty though so it is going to get cleaned up and painted before it goes in. Unfortunately it's an open diff for now, ill get a grizzly or Detroit locker for it soon enough
