New member. Need some help

Hey guys. Just joined today. my names Mike. Been long over due since I've had my truck awhile. It's a 1980 c10 diesel Cheyenne that was converted to four wheel. Also changed the engine the to a 350 and a th350 trans. Regardless I'm happy to be on here and apart of the family.
Reason I'm posting I need some helping identifying two things
First is that black box after tracing the wires and seeing I have a four prong brake switch. I gathered it's a cruise control module but I want to be sure and if it is can it be replaced. The truck doesn't have cruise control I assuming the previous owner did away with it on the column but left everything else.
Second. the plug. It's hanging under the dash behind the radio. In that general area.

Welcome to the forum.
The 'black box' is the diesel engine control module for the glow plug relay, fast idle control and warning lamp. Use the
1980 Wiring Manual
as a guide if you want to remove wiring. The disconnected plug is the power/ground/display light connector for the factory radio.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
