Chevy K10 Gauges
« on: November 06, 2017, 10:07:06 PM »
Hey all!
I'm trying to figure out what gauges came stock with my truck... I have a 1979 Chevy K10 Custom Deluxe with a 350, SM465 and 205 transfer. Who ever had the truck before took gauges from different years so I'd like to put it back to stock. Any help would be great!

Look to see if the SPID label is still in tact in the glove box

You either had gauges or idiot lights in '79, and gauges were a very common option.

Take a look at the gauge pictures on the   truck web site to see the gauge design(s) for various years.  By that time I believe the entire was all electric, and had a voltmeter.

In my '75 truck I have the older style cluster, with a mechanical oil pressure gauge and an ammeter.  That is why you can't always swap clusters between years.
