'87 GMC R3500 Access Cover w/i Cab?
« on: December 22, 2017, 09:47:02 AM »
Before attempting to remove rubber cab flooring in these freezing temps...

Does the cab of my '87 GMC R3500 High Sierra (dump) truck have a removable access cover for the reverse switch? 4-speed manual transmission.

zieg85, thank-you. I believe I felt the switch on the left side/upper of the transmission. Plug is off, yet I was hoping access would be provided elsewhere...hoping certainly doesn't make it so...  ;)

Space is extremely limited, however, I believe you can just reach the plug through the shift boot, I think this was how I reached mine I initially.

Otherwise from the bottom is the only way. And it is kinda tight.
