Retrofitting factory intermittent wipers
« on: May 31, 2018, 10:43:58 AM »
I have an '87 half-ton 'Scottsdale'. I think that makes it a C10.

It didn't come from the factory with intermittent wipers, and I'd like to have them.

Are there any parts I need other than the module and the turn signal switch 'stalk'? Seems like maybe I'd also need whatever the stalk physically plugs into.

Anyone have or could take a photo of where & how the module is mounted?

Thanks

can really help with all the small details but your 87 would be an R10 not C. from 73-86 they were C/K and 87-91 they were R/V. the 88-98 style took the badge of C/K so if you go into a parts store or even shopping online you want to make sure you have it listed as "R10" or you will find theres no vehicle listed for that year unless you go into the c50s.

Thanks for the clarification! I've see that before but didn't know when the year break was.

Intermittent module, turn signal lever and w/wiper switch.  Insert the module between the wiper switch pigtail and factory harness connectors located directly below the steering column, just behind the removable dash panel below the column.  The OEM module slid onto a sheet metal flag that attached to the bottom of the column to keep it secure and prevent rattles.
