Hi, my truck has a 4wd shifter that looks like this (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180430/624e6d0562648e619cd305599e5670b2.jpg) I’m not sure if I can drive it in 2wd or if it is full time 4wd

Np203, run it in H, Hloc will be full time 4wd, H is essentially part time 4wd, and will be easier to turn on pavement.

If you want true 2WD mode you need to buy this kit https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mmk-502/overview/ and convert it

If it already has front locking hubs (switchable), it may have already been converted to part time with the kit mentioned. If it still has the stock full-time front hubs (no switch), its probably still a stock NP203.
The stock NP203 is very durable, but if its been converted to part time it may suffer rom insufficient oiling. There is an internal oil pump that only runs in 4WD, and if you leave it in the 2WD position it does not circulate oil properly. The part time conversion kit directions suggest running it in 4WD at least once a week, but most folks don't read and keep directions.

If you have selectable front hubs, when they are unlocked and you can still drive, then it has been converted to part time. Additionally...if they are unlocked and you are in High, you should be able to freely rotate your front driveshaft, if it has been converted.

Irish...you mean...and you are in H or L and not H-loc or L-loc! ;)
