Here are a few facts about waterborne paints:
1) They are not as durable as Solvent borne paints due to less cross linking.
2) Waterborne paints are thinner and show more substrate defects (your bodywork has to be much better).
3) Waterborne requires more process control (narrower application window, i.e. humidity control) than solvent borne.
4) New mix systems are required (stainless steel).
5) Waterborne require a high bake (>200 °F) for productivity because it takes a long time to air-dry.
