Title: Turn Signal
Post by: JJAB on December 10, 2009, 10:51:56 AM
Guys I need a little help. I have a 1980 Chevy SWB. When I purchased the truck, the turn signals did work. Now, a couple of years later and many modifications later, including a factory tilt column upgrade and surface mounted autometer upgrade, the turn signals dont want to work. To be exact, when I initiate the turn signal one way or the other, the light comes on on the dash and on the outside  but it does not blink. I have replace the flasher but that did no good. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check all of your bulbs

I have replaced all of the bulbs on each corner of the truck.

Let me ask this, I shaved my park lights on each fender in the front of the truck, so where those bulbs would normally go, ther are no bulbs. Would this make a difference?

Capt, thanks for the information. I really want to think that I knew that already but sometimes we all nee a little guidance. Adding those two bulbs completed my circuit and we are now blinking.
