crew cab dually on TV show "Elementary"
« on: April 14, 2014, 11:50:25 AM »
OK, just had to say this because I'm a crew cab guy, but was watching Elementary last night, and noticed they spent several minutes filming alongside a 73-91 crew cab dually.  It was at night, so tough to get specifics beyond that.

Just sayin'!  ;D

I have been watching Elementary since it's start. Love that show. I noticed it too! As soon as he was leaning against it, I caught the angle of the windows and roof. I said aloud "Hey that's a square body dually" Looked pretty cool from what I saw. Yes it was pretty dark.

Capt, it's a new show on it's second season, based off of Sherlock Holmes. Set in modern day times in New York City. The main character is in fact named Sherlock Holmes, his assistant is a retired doctor, a woman named Joan Watson. I have to say it is a very good show.

Found the complete episode on CBS's website and took some screen caps of it.  Washed it through Photoshop some.  Old truck looks like it's been down the road a few miles - classic busted 'n Bondo-ed rear fenders, plus looks like it might have been one of those luxury conversions judging by the paint.  Also, you can tell it has the camper mirrors that stick way out.  I'll post 'em up if Chris says its OK (copyright concerns don'tcha know).

Good show, very well cast.  Especially Lucy Liu as Joan Watson (ahem! cough-cough!)
