Title: #4... I couldn't help myself
Post by: zieg85 on February 10, 2018, 12:04:56 PM
A little history behind this purchase is.  I advertised a Snap On tool box for sale or trade for a Honda ATC 185 or larger.  This guy responded with an old Honda, been in a corner of a barn for a lot of years.  He said it ran good when last out but was thinking it sat for at least 5 years.  I get there early as he was digging it out.  All 3 tires flat and it was black mixed with bird crap all over it.  He aired up the tires and moved it outside of another shed with a hotsy in it.  Cleaned it all off and it didn't look to bad.  After 2 hour of cleaning the carb and gas tank, fresh gas was put in it.  Started on the second pull.  Being satisfied we load it up in his truck and go to see my full tool box.  He accepts the trade, I unload the toolbox and put it in the back of his truck.  I show him my extended cab and start talking about my squarebody obsession and he said his dad has a truck I may want to see and it is for sale.  It is perfect for my retirement build, a 81 C30 Cab and Chassis 135.5" wheel base.  Stay tuned to my build once my shop is ready.

Very nice, partial to the Honda three wheelers myself, biggest thing to remember is to keep all your weight on the inside foot peg when doing high speed corners!

This 3 wheeler is for basic transportation.  I have ridden them a lot and actually had the race version 250R that was a wicked machine.  It will just get me down to those fishing holes and get me to the mailbox and back

zieg not to hijack your thread but im almost in the same boat. the town that i live in is selling their brush truck. its a 89 k30 6.2 sm465 and 205 (im im thinking right, didnt actually crawl under it to peak.) but they tool the bed off the truck so its a C&C with 19,000 miles. still has the lights and stickers from the town. i want it my boy wants it but the wife doesnt. the bad part is its a silent bid so you dont know how much to bid. thinking about sneaking out there placing a $2500 bid. not sure what interest its going to have with the locals but 2500 would be a nice deal and i would hate to see someone else get it for 2400.

dont really need it but i think i could make a flatbed for it and use it for small things and just put around town in the historic brush truck

That would be a good deal if you could get it.  My actual dream truck build is from a K30 Cab and Chassis stick shift.  Hey, if you are interested in a nice flat bed if you get it mine will be looking for a home...

Think a aluminum bed would be fitting. The bids have to be in by today, the post office doesn't open till 7 and I have to be out of town by 650. Have to depend on the wife to drop it off ::). Guess I'll see how much she loves me
