See the pic below of my high pressure service port fitting. I honestly don't know what year this is from, but it could be from a 1988 Suburban which is where my C10 drive train and interior parts came from.
1) I believe this is an older R12 service port. The 134a hose fittings are too large. Is that correct?
2) I assume this particular port is NOT removable? It has no hex fittings, but I have not tried to unscrew it.
3) Can anyone point me to the correct replacement part (maybe the metal whole line) with a 134a service port? This tube runs between the bottom of the evaporator and the condenser. It's very roughly "U" shaped and maybe 2 feet long if you straightened it out.
I need to replace the orifice tube and thought I should replace this part with a 134a part since I'll have one end disconnected anyhow.
