dakota digital vhx gauges problems

hey guys im in the middle of my install of my vhx gauges and im having issues with my turn signal.  everything is working fine however whenenver i turn my headlights on the blinkers stops working, when i turn them off they work again. anybody had this issue

Check the basics first and verify that the cluster is properly grounded through its various jumpers and connections all the way back to battery negative.

well im grounding the vhx box to the ebrake housing.  im using 18gauge ground wire which is the minimum requirement.  u think it could be a bad headlight switch that is doing this?

I think it has a floating ground and there is nothing wrong with the headlamp switch.  The 18-gauge ground wire should be adequate for the application.  See the article, Ground.
