Fuel switch 86 Silverado

How do I access the fuel selector switch on the dashboard?  I need to swap it out .

You have to depress some tabs to get it out in one piece.  If it is broke anyway get a butter knife that isn't cheesy from a thrift store and wrap it with electrical tape to protect the dashes paint and pry it out.  The new one will snap back easily.

Like Zieg posted, reach up from below and behind the dash panel and depress the locking tabs on the switch.

IIRC, remove the lower duct that crosses under the dash to the left side outlet.  Accessing the switch is tight, so have patients.
