So this morning, at 5:15 mind you, my truck started then ran super rough and died. After that I couldn't start it again. craziest thing is I have spark and the plugs smell like gas? Just put brand new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I am beside myself on what could be wrong. Could it be just flooded and timing off? The night before when I was getting in the gas I noticed it was really laggy when first accelerating. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Choke problem, not opening first thought.

How old is the carb? Sounds like a stuck float or bad needle valve to me.

Verify the choke is open. Did you use high quality parts? Pull the cap off an inspect, make sure the cap is installed correctly.

Stock carb lol. That's what I am thinking. Makes sense really with the lag and what not. Where exactly do I find the model number? I usually just get a new carb but with the recent birthdays and holidays it looks like rebuild time lol.

The site should help you identify your carb.
