Trying to figure out how to remove the glove box latch! Bought a glove box, the plastic shell. Does anyone know how to remove the latch?

You need to remove the lock cylinder before the latch.  Read How to: Remove Glove Box Cylinder (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=15274.0) in our Technical Forum.  The retaining nut hidden under the cylinder flange requires a special octagonal male driver.  I expect the tool is long obsolete, so more than likely you will need to fabricate or adapt something to work.
