Title: What kind of cam do I have?
Post by: Spoonbill on November 03, 2017, 01:18:05 AM
87 r10 305 tbi 700r4. There seems to be quite inquiry on whether the trucks had roller cams in them or not. Does anyone know how to find out what came is in a vehicle without diving into engine?

FWIW I rebuilt a 350 TBI that came out of an 87 Sub for my 37 and it did not have a roller cam as original

The OE R/V truck engines weren't fitted with roller cams.  Only the car lines had them.

The provisions were there though so you can change it over easily.
