Very nice build and great progress.
It looks like the firewall and dash are a 'Green-Gold metallic'? Are you going back to that?
I see the SPID sheet is still on the inner fender, which is a good thing to have. It might be a good time to protect it or move it.

It was originally Lime Green / White. Not quite sure what color I'm going to go with. It has a 78 bed on it, but its not in the best shape. Would like to get a 73-77 bed thats in good shape though.

Well it’s been forever since I updated. Shortly after I got it running I brought it home. I had lots of issues with my fitech command center, so I went with an in tank pump. Then my oil pan was leaking and my lifters sounded like a sewing machine. I drove it back to my buddies shop and pulled the motor and trans back out. My trans was leaking all over (fresh rebuild too). That was back in July of 2016. I then found a paint guy where it sat until September of 2017. This is what it looked like when I dropped it off.

So for the engine, we pulled the lifters and cam and sent them back to Lunati. The cam was bent, so they gave me a refund. I called up Isky and they guaranteed their lifters were much quieter. Ordered their solid roller bearing hydraulic roller lifters and a billet hydraulic cam. I also decided that since we had the motor out was to go big and get a new set of heads!

During this time, I’m waiting for the paint guy to get started and got busy with work so let things sit for about a year. I then start thinking about suspension parts and since the truck is in pieces now would be the time to do it. I made lots of calls and decided to go porterbuilt level 1 up front, stage 2 in the rear so I didn’t have to raise my bed floor. It took about 11 weeks to get it in and started to tear into it. I also picked up these seats from someone for 300 bucks and had my dash pad recovered.

Those seats look super comfy! Do you know what they’re out of? Gonna have one heck of a ride when it’s done.

So I have been spending the last month putting the suspension and motor in. Here’s a few pics.

I also had purchased a billet specialties serpentine kit and wasn’t happy with the maintenance the polished aluminum is, so ended up using cerakote on them. Think it came out good.

Then I decided to do my mirrors and door handles.
It matches the wheels perfectly.
