305 350 dip sticks

did the 305 and 350 have the dip stick in the same spots

They were available on both the passenger side and the drivers side on the 350 for different years.I imagine the same applies to the 305 as well.

it does depend on the year.  whether it is a one piece rear main seal or a two piece, if i remember correctly.  I know my 79 is a two piece therefore the dipstick in under the master cylinder (drivers side).  I think all one piece rear mains seals  had dipstick on passenger side of engine.
