I think the blue is called Medium Blue.  It is off of a '80 pickup.  The PPG color is 2188.

Just wondering what size tires, and what kind of wheels they are.. I like the way they look, real sharp.

The tires are 255/55/17's and the wheels are factory for a 1994-1996 Impala SS.  It won't be the tire size once it is completed though.

Wish I had the means to do a "body-off" tear down & rebuild.  Nice to get it done right.  Chose not to sit my motor back so far, but that will definitely get you room up front.  Should be a bad :( truck when finished!

Here's my C10:

Sunday Dec. 10th, 2006: With all that is going on at the house with remodeling and such I have broken down and ordered a wiring harness for the truck so it will be moveable. Sorting through it requires more time that I can currently spare.

I really like how you are documenting your rebuild.  I am doing a complete tear down and rebuild of my originally owned 1975 Chevy K10 Stepside.  I have been taking many pictures for myself and will try to share someday.  I wanted to comment on your fiberglass front end.  I have the same one from US Body.  I have yet to install it and I hope that we can exchange information about getting it done.  For starters, you can trash US Body's instructions at a certain point.  One in particular are the steel brackets that tilt the front end.  I haven't figured them out quite yet but they do not install as simple as the instructions show.  You may have to refab the gussets on two of them and you may have to move your radiator supports back.  Also, the brackets will be exposed in front of the grill.  I will let you know more as I experience it.  Thanks for all the information you are supplying.

The gussets on the tilt work fine with mine, just as their instructions indicate.  What is the problem with them.  I am moving the core support back as the tilt has it molded into it.
I planned to work on the truck during the last few weeks, but I ended up having to fix my house....

Wife and new baby stopped progress temporarily on the truck, but I am working on getting a 1 piece kit writeup done.

Now here's a fine example of somebody with some serious TALENT.  What's cool when somebody undertakes a job like this is to see if they can do all the bodyworking, mechanical, fabrications, AND wiring.

Can't wait to see more as your time permits.   ;)
