Getting a TBI setup
« on: August 15, 2012, 12:53:13 AM »
I have a 79 Chevy Cheyenne, C20, 2wd. It has a sb350 with a TH350. The engine has am edelbrock performer intake, edelbrock performer carb 600cfm electric choke and long tube flowtech headers. All my parts are Cali smog equipped. I'm looking for a holley or msd throttle body setup that goes up to 600cfm. If anyone has or would know where to find a holley or msd tbi setup for a square bolt edelbrock intake it would be great to know. I'm looking for increased hp with a little better mpg, (not that important) but also still Cali smog legal. THANKS YA'LL!

P.S. Gotta show a buddy,(ford boy), how its done Chevy TRUCK style. :)

Go to Summit Racing and look up throttle body adapter plate, which can bolt a tbi style throttle body on a carb intake manifold.

A big block Chevy 7.4L TBI throttle body flows about 645 cfm.

Remember, you still need the ECM, wiring harness, sensors, and distributor.
