How Rare IS This
« on: December 15, 2012, 07:27:00 PM »
I am thinking of buying a 1982 Chevy k5 Blazer, it is advertised as ---Rare  2WD version, complete minus motor  & transmission,  I would like to hear how rare they really are , i have  only seen one this far north and that one came from Conn .

They are a little more rare than a 4x4 K5. Then again in New Hampshaa C or K anything of our vintage trucks are becoming rare due to the DOT loading our roads with salt every time 8 snow flakes fall from the sky!
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Less rare, more like hard to find.  Most people who have them won't sell them, and some of them are rusted to the ground.  There were less 4x2 versions made than 4x4 versions, but still not RARE in the sense of say a Street Coupe Edition.

Ralph, if it helps any, having lived in southern states all my life (>30 in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma) I have only seen a few 2wd Blazers myself.
1973 GMC K2500, Super Custom, Camper Special, 350, TH350, NP203, 4.10's
1974 Chevrolet K10, Custom Deluxe, 350, SM465, NP203, 3.73's
