Newer GM Truck Forums
« on: January 26, 2017, 10:31:59 PM »
Since I've had my 02 2500, I've tossed around the idea of joining another forum that's for newer model GM trucks. Possibly just the 99-07 body trucks, being as that's what I own. Also, working at the dealer has gifted me with tons of experience in most all GM vehicles over 2000, but I do try to keep my focus on the trucks. Hey, I'm a truck guy, what can I say.

My primary concerns are that it be a safe, polite, respectable and family oriented site just like this one. One that will hold members accountable for their actions and even automatically remove offensive language.

Does anyone know of a forum like this? Maybe some of you have newer trucks and are members of another site that you would recommend? Honestly, I love this site and it's people, it's a great place and I don't want to be a part of any place that isn't like this one. I may not even join because normally I don't care for forums much but I do have a great soft spot for ours specifically.

Any who, thoughts and recommendations welcome as usual.

Thanks guys.

Have you tried Chevytalk---they have a section for newer trucks.

But my theory regarding newer trucks is that Trucks, say after 99-ish won't be around for as long as pre-99 trucks because everything has become disposable----If the engine goes in a newer truck, do you think the owner is likely to "drop " another engine in vs. and older truck where it's so much easier to do so.   They'll probably just buy a new truck.

Thus, the forums for newer trucks may not be as vibrant as compared to older trucks?

i see just as many squares everyday vs. the very GMT-400 models  (88-94ish).

P.S.  Make no mistake----i would not be totally opposed to having a new/newer truck provided i was in the financial position to do so. :)

Josh's board 67-72chevytrucks.com has pretty good members and a 99-up section.

Either you or Irish have a rear slider in your 99-06?  Looking to compare mine, broken latch I'd like to fix.
