The last few days my 81 c-10 350 has been out of commission. Couldn't figure out what was wrong. The engine died while backing out to leave work. The engine turned but wouldn't start. Thought maybe my carb was the problem. I poured gas in but still no starting. I pulled the plug wires and checked for fire and it was there. Checked the timing and everything seemed to be in line. My choke fuse was also blown. I bought new plugs, wires, rotor, distrib cap, carb cleaner and fuses. I started with the fuse and checked after each part was changed out. It wound up being the distributor and rotor. It started right up and sounds like new. I am just a novice and trying to learn as much as I can, but wanted to pass on this info in case someone else can across the same prob.
