TH350 Rebuild
« on: September 09, 2015, 10:47:35 PM »
I'm rebuilding a Turbo 350 and was wondering if the metal "gasket" that seperates the two paper-like gaskets that go between the valve body and main trans veins?

Thanks all

I've read your question a few times, and I'm not sure what you are asking.

I agree.  The metal "gasket" is the valve body separator plate and is crucial to transmission function.  What do you mean by "veins?"

I'm assuming veins are the slots UNDER that plate. I know they have a proper name but I can't remember it.

;D sorry guys, yes I was talking about the separator plate mentioned, mine may have gotten thrown out a while ago so looks like I'll be trying to find another one... And in terms of the "veins" that's just what I've heard this grooves called so I've always said the same thing.???

The separator plate should not be too difficult to find.  Contact a local rebuilder or your local Transtar dealer.  Or search the Internet for a Transgo SK-350 or Superior Transmission (SHIFT) K350-WP.
