Steering Column Seal
« on: August 29, 2018, 08:59:11 AM »
Does someone reproduce the Steering Column Seal at the firewall for my 1991 V3500?

I just had the steering column completely rebuilt and my seal is a little torn.  Now would be the perfect time to replace said seal!

Got my steering column back from being rebuilt.  Apparently nobody makes a reproduction steering column seal.  The steering column guy said that they just make one out of a piece of dense, adhesive backed foam.  I went a different route and went to the local wrecking yard.  Found a good one, pulled it off of the truck, took it home and cleaned and soaked it in Meguiar's Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner and Protectant.
