'74 K20, SM465, 454 swap, NP208 swap, 14-bolt FF, D44

My uncle bought it brand new but hadn't used it very often in recent years. I've wanted it for a while and finally asked if he would sell it to me. Well, he ended up giving it to me about 7 months ago. So far, all I've done is clean it up, install better tires, and do a few small repairs.

I've been an LSX guy for the past 15 years, and this is my first adventure into old-school carb territory.

He installed the 454 and NP208 sometime in the 80's, but the 454 has developed a heck of a rod knock. It does have 781 heads, so I'm going to work those over a bit and put them on the new engine.

Performance plans:
- massaged 781 heads with big valves
- domes
- air gap
- 850 double-pumper with annular boosters
- solid flat cam with modern firing order swap
- 1.75" headers (i know)
- mandrel-bent 3" with bullets and magnaflows out the back (I hate the sound of side-exit duals)
- NV4500 swap

As far as cosmetics are concerned, I'm putting a patina preserver over the paint, installing a factory rear bumper, and restoring the interior. I'm not a fan of modern wheels on classic 4x4's.... They just look completely bro'ish to me.(Street trucks are a different story) So I'm repainting the steelies and trying to find some 69-style hubcaps that don't cost a fortune.

6.0, LS3 heads, cam, stall, full suspension, etc, etc.
I had a 99 formula that got creamed in a parking lot. So i found a V6 car with a blown engine for cheap that was in way better condition anyway to convert everything from the old car.

I sold the formula to buy this:
07 Victory Hammer, Lloydz intake, Bassani exhaust, Dobeck auto-tuner

I like it! Really similar to my '74 except for the color and mine has a 350. Pretty nice to find these trucks with original paint, that should buff out nice like mine did
