Bucket seat swap... storage question.
« on: August 25, 2017, 08:27:53 PM »
So I'm searching for a 91 and back Suburban to rob the seats and center console out of.  My question is how much storage space will I have vs my bench seat in my 84.  I'm pretty tall (6'1") so I assume the space behind the buckets (like my bench) will be minimal.  Just don't want to give it all up in the conversion.
Thanks!

i think its going to be more of a question on how much will you be reclined as the top back of the seat should touch the back side of the cab first

Although the seats tilt forward a bit, it is a slow process with a round knob on the inside of the seats so you will have to reach over the seat bottom and around.  Room is about the same as a standard seat but the seat back sits against the rear window when all the way back.
