Gauge sizes? 5" Gauges?

I was hoping someone here knew the exact sizes of the gauges in the 73-87 chevy trucks, according to the aftermarket gauge manufacturers. As in, if I was going to order new gauges, what sizes would I order to be as close as possible to the factory sizes? Autometer sells some 5" gauges, but I'm afraid that I don't know what size GM says that our gauges were. To me, it seems like there could be two possible measurements:

Actual total measurable surface diameter, and viewable area. I wouldn't presume to try to just guess which one, as I have been wrong on this type of thing plenty of times. So does anyone know which size should be ordered, to replace our truck's large and small gauges? I will be recessing them, and the truck is an '87.

why not go digital? it seams by searching its two that are 3 /38 and four that are 2 1/16

I personally am not a fan of the digital gauges. They kind of take away from the feel of these old trucks, in my opinion. I was going to go with the American Muscle gauges that Autometer makes.

There is nothing aftermarket that has the exact hole size.  You are either to large with 5", or 2 small with 3-3/4"  IF you go aftermarket you will need to trim the holes or mount in the hole.

I used the 5" and the 2 5/8'" autometer gauges.

Those look like they fit perfectly. Do you think you can get a pic of the gauges, from a more straight on perspective? That way we could see how the top of the gauges look. From this perspective it almost looks as if the numbers go up too high and are hidden from view when you are sitting in the seat.

I used the info from the one link that Capt posted and they do fit great.  The only one that is a little hard to see all of the guage is the one in the lower left corner and its not that bad.  Here are a few pics, one is from when I was putting them in and the other two are in the truck now.  I tried to get the best pics I could but the steering wheel was in the way.  I am still gonna put a billet panel on there to hide the screws.
