78 C10 Backspacing/Wheel question
« on: December 06, 2020, 10:31:44 PM »
Hey Guys...I am looking to go with some old school slotted mags...the US Mags indy...15X9 on the front and 15X10 in the rear....78 C10 2wd Big ten. The 15X9 shows a -12 offset 4.5 backspacing...test fitting one, I find the outer part of the tie rod end at the knuckle just barely touches the inside of the wheel....seems like 1/16" clearanced off the rod end end would make it fly.

Anyone have experience using the 15X9 4.50 on the front, 15X10 3.50 on the back?

i personally havent run anything that wide on any of my trucks, but if you just need a 16th you could get an 1/8 inch spacer for the front that would slide on the wheel mounting surface between the rotor and the wheel.

these are like 10 bucks at summitt
