I figured as much.  Glad you got it resolved.  And, thanks for letting us know.  IIRC the dipole antenna shield grounds only at the radio.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

Yea. I was not sure if the internal antenna was grounded or not. On the hunt for a replacement stereo I like now..
