Found this interesting article tonight. It's about some of the Special Edition models available for 73-87.

In the mid 80s I knew two people that had Rollin’ Rebel editions

Article was very informative.  I haven't seen most of the special additions.  I must say not a fan of any.  I like the original color combinations the best.   :)

Great article, never knew that they offered so many special editions. I have seen a few chalets blazers down here in Texas but none for sale  :(

Very cool article for sure!

I've had the pleasure to see most of these Special Editions   :)

Kinda wonder though why they left out the "Cheyenne" Trucks of the early 70's ???

Awesome!   I had a 77 Sport as my first truck that my dad bought new.  The stripes were gone by the time I got it but it still had the rollbar.  someone at my dads work keyed it all up so he had to take all the stripes off as we couldn't get them anymore from the dealer.  It had an AUX LIGHTS switch on the dash where the normal fuel tank selector switch went on dual tank trucks to turn on the rollbar lights.  I bet thats one way to tell a real SPORT.  if it has a single tank but has a hole in the dash for a switch there I bet it was an Aux Lights switch.

I think the "Desert Fox" was the best in terms of looks.

The Street Coupe is intriguing, wonder why it touted a 'luxury ride'? Would love to know what they did to the suspension to make it so.

My girl came with a 'camper kit', that gave two more leaf springs. Just had them removed, and my spine is thanking me profusely. That and new bushings up front has really calmed her down.

Nice link Capn'!

Bookmarked it for sure!

So it looks like the 'luxury' of the Street Coupe wasn't so related to the suspension. Oh well... ::)
