Back in late August my youngest and I had planned too but then the move happened.  I will see it eventually but 12/18 isn't going to be in the cards...

Be sure to post any surprises and tell us all about the ending.

So is mark hamill in the movie or what?

I saw the original star wars at the cinema.  Late 70's.

Oh' and vile, keep a lookout if there are any squarebodies in any scenes. 73-87's!!

i too plan on seeing it just not anytime soon. i dont do movie theaters, idk if it ptsd from work but i really dont like to have people behind me especially in the dark. one time i was down a tier. the power went out and the generators failed to come on, i was all the way at the end of the tier and i dont think my feet ever moved that fast before lol

Yeah i was kidding too, dont spoil it. Unless they went back in time and drove a squarebody. Haha

I dont do theaters either, i get nervous in crowds. And, i dont wait in lines either. Im not special, just hate lines. Dont tell anybody, but when in traffic i use my badge and hit the breakdown lane.  Total abuse.

I have to agree with flatblack, those episodes stunk. Star wars, empire and return of jedi were awesome.  Just like rocky 1-3.

Some movies were not meant to have a sequel, like jaws and smokey and the bandit. Gross!

My son called me as he was walking out of the theater and was so exited... Said I had to see it with him next Tuesday... Guess it is father and son time...

Yes, nobody post any spoilers! I will say this, I've been a mega fan since the beginning but I HATED the prequels. I also despised the special editions. Needless to say I was pleased to learn that this movie would not be influenced by George Lucas. Not sure what happened to that man, how could you make something so epic and iconic and turn it into...that? It couldn't have all been about $ anyway

I did not wait in line and I also do not generally go to the movies but there was no way I waiting to see this. You can buy tickets in advance and pick your seats like you would do on an airplane for the imax theaters. I saw it in imax 3D which I was skeptical about because the last 3D movie I saw was Jaws 3D LOL but I was pleasantly surprised. the screen was huge, the sounds was incredible and the 3D wasn't cheesy at all.

If you like the originals you must check out the despecialized editions http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Harmys-STAR-WARS-Despecialized-Edition-HD-V25-MKV-IS-OUT-NOW/id/12713

and if you liked the originals you must go see this. Get a seat in the back of theater if you don't like people behind you, you'll forget you're even in a theater. There are small nuances as in anything that you might not like but overall I think most will thoroughly appreciate this. My woman couldn't have cared less about going and when she left she admitted she loved it, she cried and said "I feel like a different person now" lol

My philosophy regarding Star Wars is i've only seen 4,5, and 6, which, to me are really 1,2, and 3.   i didn't see 1,2, and 3 and don't plan on seeing 7,8, or 9.  i feel i can still celebrate the spirit of Star Wars in the present by admiring 4,5, and 6.

There was, as you may remember, a square in Star Trek 4 which had a prominent role.
