New Member from Missouri
« on: January 15, 2020, 07:41:47 PM »
Hello, I have been browsing this site for a few weeks now and now I am jumping in to contribute/ask questions (probably more of the latter until I get some knowledge behind me).

I just inherited my wife's grandpa's 1980 C20 long bed that has been sitting for 5-6 years.  Now I am in  the process of getting her road worthy.  right now, it the plan is to get her running reliably.  In the future, I have my eye on possibly a 4" lift and new tires.  I love  the way these things look lifted.

Back to basics, so far, I have replaced the gas in one tank, oil and filter change, fuel filter change, new battery, new driver front brake caliper and hose, and temp gauge sender.  In the near future, a transmission fluid/filter change and radiator replacement as it has a few holes.  running into a few issues at this point but I will post those in the appropriate section.

I am a moderately mechanically inclined.  Built choppers, worked on boats a ton, and misc golf carts/trailers/lawn mowers/dirt bikes, etc.  Not too much knowledge on 350 motors and that for know will be my  weakness.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Hello and welcome from Central California.
Rich
It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
