hello from Mississippi
« on: October 24, 2007, 05:06:51 AM »
;D just dropping in to say hello.

My truck is a 85 long wheel base that is red and white. the truck was bought new in 85 by my grandfather and given to me just before he passed away. I drove it until it would not even do 55 mph  :o she was worn slap out.

I parked here for a couple years and then came across a deal on a 60,000 TPI engine from a 92 trans am. I bought it and put it in. the tranny was also gone so she sat another year waiting on a tranny. well I found a great deal on a TH350 and put it in. now the TPI has her running great and i have a 700r4 waiting to go it.

I decided to make the truck my primary transportation once again and I am having fun working on it. All i need now is a maroon dash and some nice door panels  ::)

not sure on the mileage. the fuel level gauge is out and the speedo is off  :D i jsut gas up every few days and keep 5 gallons in the back!!!

I am about to swap in a 87 tank and sending unit. Right now i have a stock sending unit that i modified. I am also going to try a electric autometer speedo.

I will see about some pics.
