Title: Blower Motor Relay Wiring
Post by: 123 pugsy on November 10, 2011, 03:28:08 PM
Can anyone help identify the color of wires going to the pins of the relay in the attached pic?
This is the only new harness I could find. The wiring on my 76 has a different pin position on the relay.
The numbers on the sketch are the numbers on the relay.

Thanks,
Pugsy

Edit:Info in case anyone wants to change over to the newer style harness.
#1  and #2  need to cut the wire that comes with the new harness close to the terminal and solder the 10 ga wire on directly.

#1  is PPL 10 ga to blower
#2  is OR  10 ga BATT
#3  is BLK ground
#4  is OR  from switch (HIGH) This activates the coil.
#5  is DK BL from resistor

Have you looked at the wiring diagrams here:

Yes. I checked those already.
None of the diagrams have the relay.
If someone had a harness they could look at would do it nicely.
This is the later style.
Thanks.
