Title: 1975 k10, possible ls swap. What is required for the swap?
Post by: Hillbillydrums on June 12, 2015, 02:21:20 PM
so long story short, a local guy is selling a rolled 2001 1500 Silverado with a 4.8. He's asking 700 bucks for the motor and wiring harness and computer and everything. To my mind I think it's a good deal, but what else will have to purchase to make us motor fit up a my squarebody?
I know I had to get motor mounts, 1 inch spacing I think. I have to get a flywheel adapter for the motor to bolt to my turbo 350 tranny  . And I believe I need a fuel pump to pump 50 psi to the motor.

Anything else I'm missing?
I need to make a price list to see if I can pull this off.
Thanks

exhaust, 02 sensors, steam hole solution, if you want a speedo you need to have a solution for that too.
Read through this post it should give you an idea: http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php/topic,12120.0.html

Gotta pay someone to reprogram the computer or it won't even crank

And custom headers and exhaust
