power window wiring harness
« on: August 27, 2009, 01:18:18 PM »
Anybody have guidance on '87 power window wiring harness.  The leads on the plug that attach to the poles on the rear of the switch are coming free of the actual connectors.  Those connectors are tiny and I can't open the crimp to reattach.  All I need is the connectors or maybe the plug or even the "pigtail" from switch to inside the cab?  Thanks for the help......again.  ???

I had the same problem. I went to the local pic and pull and got another one. The newer the better. You can take it apart and solder it if you want. But for $2  for 4 of them I figured it was not worth the time and effort to solder it.

Is there any way for you to take it (connector)to the nearest parts store?

I had the same problem.  I went to the wrecking yard and bought the short harness that runs in the door from the main harness. The two harnesses plug together.  Doing the windows is easy, if you want to do the lock and/or actuator skinny hands woulds come in handy.
