does anyone have pictures they can post as to where the holes are drilled in the door and the jamb for the pw harness to go through into the cab? mines an 87 swb 4x4 4spd

I just did mine recently. They are centered between the hinges. There are some dimples to locate them. Inside the A pillar there is a brace so you will want to be in the correct location. Same with the doors. On one of my doors the marks were obscured so I had to measure it off the bolt holes but it came out spot on.
If this isn't enough info I can provide measurements and or pictures.

so between the hinges on the door, in the center and the a pillar. i'll look behind the kick panel for the brace but should you drill into the part of the pillar that faces you as you look to the front of the truck or the part of it looking at the side of the truck?  and what size hole did you make? thanks

I drilled 1 1/2" holes with a hole saw. The holes are on the surfaces that the hinges bolt to. You can't see the braces on the A-pillar, they are inside of it. There is a rubber boot for the wires to go thru that has holes in it to rivet on to the pillar and the door. Those holes are 2 5/8" apart for rivets and there should be dimples for those as well on the pillars and doors. I will post some pictures for you as soon as I can.

Like what was stated, the dimples should be there for drilling placing the holes.

did the holes on sunday easy with the dimples as a guide. nobody sells good gromets the ones are i bought are the right size for the hole but very minimal . i would rather have something a little sturdier. any ideas?

I got mine in the scrap yard when I got the rest of the power window stuff. They come off real easy. The rivets are aluminum, all I did was put a screwdriver under the boot and hit it with a hammer.

so i finally got started on the regulators today . I pulled out the manual one on the passenger side easy enough put the power one through the access hole and here is the problem ( it's probably me) if i slide all 3 rollers on their respective tracks the regulator wont line up with its holes, conversely if i bolt up the regulator in all 4 holes i cant for the life of me get the window on its tracks the regulator seems to be in the up position is there a way to use a jumper wire to lower it to get this to work. also i took out the vent window just to have more room Any ideas?
