Wood bed dimensions?
« on: April 23, 2014, 10:36:42 AM »
I have a 1986 Chevy C10 Stepside with a wood bed flooring. So instead of buying one I was wondering if anyone knows of the dimensions. Like length, width, thickness, of the boards and then the groove that they set into?

I do not know yet, have not got to my bed yet in my build.  I have my old planks that I was going to use to measure along with the strips to make my own inserts.
But I found this place, classic heart beat that list wood beds and dimensions, I do not know if they would have the measurements for a 86 but it would be worth a phone call to find out.

I do know that on mine, 6-1/2' bed I need to buy 1"x8"x8' boards and trim down to the correct length and width.  Thanks to bake I now have the inset size.  this site rocks!
