You couldn't find a round tag on the rear output tailshaft area?

I did not see any tag anywhere, I will have to double check. Is the np208 the least desirable between the np203, np205 and np208?

The 203 is full time cast case, least desirable because of the full time feature but a good case. The 205 is gear driven heavy duty cast case that most sought after for its strength, and the 208 aluminum housing chain driven which is most common and is also a good case, just not considered as strong as 205 because of aluminum housing and chain drive. Thats my view.
