Hydroboost upgrade on 1975 and 3/4 ton Sierra classic

Hello, I have a question about brake conversion. I am installing a diesel into my 1975 and 3/4 ton. I a have already installed bigger front springs and Poly bushings all around. I am wondering what I need to get to up grade from vacuum booster to hydroboost. Will a booster from all year 73-87 models fit? What else do I need to do to the chassis?? Thank you for any help...

Steering box and booster went from standard thread to metric sometime in 78ish, so matching years would be better so you don't need to have two different fittings on lines. And because of the hydro boost design, you need to remove a set of studs on the pedal assembly to properly mount the hydro boost. Nothing else really needs to be done, should bolt up fine.

You can install a vacuum pump instead of converting to hydroboost too. They sell electronic and mechanical versions.

 I am just working on converting my vacuum to a hydroboost on my 1980 GMC pick up. Everything is swapping fine had to punch out the studs on the hydroboost system to match up with my truck but other than that the pedal works great and I'm finishing it up this weekend.   I got my hydroboost out of a 1982 6.2 diesel Chevy.
