New Project Car
« on: March 25, 2008, 05:37:35 AM »

Sorry Guys, but I just struck a deal for an... UGHH 41 Chrysler 2 door coupe.

I've always wanted an older rod and I'll probably install a newer style Chevy fuel injected drive train.

NICE! I like the looks of it. Not to jump the fence, but why not put Chrysler power in it, 383 / 440, or better yet a Hemi. You can pick up smaller cube 392 etc. old school Hemi for reasonable $$.
Maybe even a new style Hemi?

Ya , my buddy said the same thing. Maybe I can get a nice Dodge thats been wrecked as a donor for parts including steering ,brakes, suspensoin, tranny...etc. dorr locks, dashboard stuff....

That body is factory look and doesn't appear that it would need many body mods as it has a good shape. I was gonna get a 39 Chevy until I came across this and fell in love with the look it has. It has a nice big back seat as well for the kids.

Very cool Pugsy! U aren't getting rid of ole yeller are ya?

As far as the new Hemi's go I wouldn't waste my $ You'd do much better bang for your buck with a 440BB

I have a 5.7L Hemi sitting on the stand out of a new dodge truck. Let's put it this way, it failed the durability test miserably.  :P

Ya ,I think its quite cool. I'll be doing some body mods to smooth out the front lumps and bulges.

The yeller banana is not going anywhere. I just finished rebuilding a 700r4 for it so I'll be cruising around in her for many more years.

That would be quite nice, but probably pricey like crazy. :o

Looks like a solid platform from the pics. I would love to find a 40ish chevy coupe to rod out, love the fat fendered era cars. Even around a 53 chevy/gmc truck would be nice

I don't think I'll be posting progress here as its not in the scheme of things with this site, but I may drop a link to my project journal I'll be doing on another site.
